Heather, a Nebraska certified CPA, is a seasoned accountant and financial reporting professional with over 30 years of experience. She is highly skilled at assessing financial needs of an organization and implementing processes to streamline accounting and financial reporting functions resulting in operational efficiencies and increased financial stewardship.
Heather worked in corporate finance and accounting for seven years, including a stint at a Fortune 100 company. From there, she brought the experience and lessons learned in corporate to the Christian ministry world. For nearly 25 years, Heather served a variety of roles, including Director of Operations and Chief Financial Officer of a large, 3,000 member church with annual budgets exceeding $6M. In addition, Heather has a passion for systems integration impacting the accounting and financial reporting functions, serving as a super-user and Certified Trainer/Consultant for Shelby Systems.
As founder and CEO of Harmony Accounting, she has diligently grown her business from a fledgling "niche" accounting firm in 2014, to a robust company serving over 30 clients in the Christian ministry and non-profit world.
Heather has steadily built a team of four staff accountants with a variety of experiences and skills that bring an additional combined 25+ years in ministry accounting — including a licensed CPA.
